Take a look at your situation and see how Fujitsu can help your organization.
Traditionally, GIS has had a solid presence in organizations dealing with all aspects of land, resources, assets, and infrastructure management in market sectors such as government (all levels), utilities, transportation, natural resources, environment, and oil & gas. But in recent years, it has expanded rapidly in new sectors including, insurance, health, security, logistics, and others.
As a result of exposure to publicly available GIS applications like Google Maps, most businesses today realize that many of their business processes can be largely improved by including GIS or spatial capability.
Enabling your business with geographic solutions
GIS (Geographic Information System), provides the framework for communication, collaboration, and analysis of business issues based on the common element of location – answering the “where …” question. Originally implemented as desktop software, GIS technology is now implemented as an enterprise wide-capability.

This utility company had built up a huge enterprise document repository, but it was difficult to access the right information. There was often duplication of effort and reports would frequently get lost.
Fujitsu built a custom application that integrates the repository with a map to offer real-time visibility of the location of assets, environmental study areas, and documents.
Now, 2.79 million map objects are linked to 2.5 terabytes of files.
Most human activity depends on geospatial information on knowing where things are and understanding how they relate to each other. Geospatial information is part of our daily lives, whether it is being used to make decisions on social or environmental issues, for emergency responses, or just to find our way across town.
